Bio for Tom Sullivan
I am a 48 year-old father and grandfather, living in Davenport, IA. My son Michael is 24 and my daughter Shannon is 28. My daughter has five sons, ranging in age from eight years old, down to eight months old. My grandsons are not only the "apples of my eye," but are a great source of inspiration to me. One large facet of my life is the fact that Im a recovering addict. I have a great source of pride in knowing that I have worked extremely hard to stay clean for the past seven years. I also have a great source of history, showing me that I made plenty of mistakes in parenting my children when they were young. The beauty of recovery is the ability to make amends to those I have harmed, and the ability to re-establish relationships that were damaged or even destroyed. The beauty of children, is their ability to forgive and start anew. I work in the hospitality industry, at a hotel here in the Quad-Cities, as the Assistant General Manager. I worked for several years in the psychiatric hospital business before I got into the hotel business. I really like my work, because it gives me the opportunity to work with people and make their stay with us pleasant and comfortable. I have several hobbies, which keep me busy, including cooking, writing, photography, and weightlifting. I am also an aspiring web master, and I have built my own web site. You can visit my web site at http://www.qcom.net/tsullivan. I am in the process of finishing my first book about loss and grief. I hope to have it published by the end of 1998. Suggestions? Feedback? We'd love to hear from you.
