Dads and Kids Cookin Together

 

Fruity Beauty Yogurt

Spread pizzazz at breakfast, lunch or snack time!

Makes four servings (2 Tablespoons per serving).


Ingredients:

1 8-ounce container lowfat (not fat free) fruit yogurt
1 strainer lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth
1 large bowl
plastic wrap



1. CHILD STEP: Place coffee filter or cheesecloth in strainer. Put lined strainer over the bowl.
2. CHILD STEP: Stir yogurt, then pour into strainer.
3. CHILD STEP: Cover strainer with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator until it becomes thick enough to spread on bread or crackers (about 12 to 20 hours).
4. CHILD/
PARENT STEP:

Place spread in covered container and refrigerate.
5. CHILD STEP: Spread on toasted bagels, bread or crackers.

1 g fat 12 g carbohydrates
85 mg calcium 0 g fiber
